A Connecticut firefighter was injured during a residential blaze early Wednesday.
The fire broke out at a New Haven home shortly after 1 a.m., WFSB-TV reports. When crews arrived at the scene, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the second and third floors.
"The house had a lot of clutter inside so it took a little extra work to access the third floor," Deputy Chief Tim Kieley told WFSB.
A firefighter suffered an unspecified injury battling the blaze. Officials said the firefighter was expected to recover.
