A firefighter was injured battling an Illinois apartment fire that also injured a resident early Tuesday.
The fire broke out at around 1:30 a.m. in Rolling Meadows, a northwest Chicago suburb, WBEZ-TV reports. It started in a second-floor apartment before spreading to other units.
A firefighter suffered minor injuries and a resident was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, WBEZ added. Investigators were looking into the cause of the fire.
