Multiple California fire departments battled a massive blaze that tore through an industrial area early Friday.
The fire broke out around 4:45 a.m. in Compton, the Los Angeles Daily News reports. Thick plumes of black smoke could be seen for miles as crews from Compton, Los Angeles County and Long Beach encountered downed power lines and water pressure issues at the scene.
Flames engulfed wooden pallets and several buses in a nearby bus yard, but firefighters were able to contain the fire to the area's perimeter. Crews worked for nearly three hours to get the blaze under control.
No injuries were immediately reported, according to the Daily News. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
