Video: Six FDNY Firefighters Injured in 4-Alarm Queens Fire

Nearly 170 firefighters worked for over five hours to get control of the massive blaze that started in a restaurant basement and spread to several businesses.

Six FDNY firefighters were injured battling a four-alarm fire that tore through multiple businesses in Queens late Thursday.

The fire broke out just before 11 p.m. in a restaurant's basement in the Jackson Heights neighborhood, WABC-TV reports. Flames spread to the building's cockloft before eventually reaching other stores in the structure.

Raw video from the scene shows heavy flames erupting from the building's roof. During the call, six firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

Nearly 170 firefighters responded to the massive blaze, and they worked for more than five hours before getting the flames under control shortly after 4 a.m. Friday, WPIX-TV reports.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
