Four FDNY Firefighters Injured in Queens House Blaze

Two residents were taken to the hospital in critical condition and were among four people who were pulled from a house fire in the Woodside neighborhood of Queens.

Four FDNY firefighters were among eight people injured two critically during a house blaze in Queens early Friday.

The fire broke out at around 12:45 a.m. at a residence in the Woodside area of Queens, WABC-TV reports. Crews were able to pull four people from the burning home on 35th Avenue.

Two residents suffered burns in the fire and were taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in critical condition. A 25-year-old and a 10-year-old were taken to Elmhurst General Hospital in stable condition.

Four firefighters suffered minor injuries in the blaze. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire, WABC added.
