NJ Crews Save Seven from Third-Floor Balconies in Condo Fire

New Jersey firefighters rescued several people from the balconies of a burning condominium complex early Thursday.

The large fire erupted at about 3:30 a.m. at the Grande Condominiums in Delran Township, KYW-TV reports. Raw video from the scene showed flames spreading to all three floors of the complex.

Seven people were on their third-floor balconies at the front and rear of the complex, and at least one jumped to escape the flames, officials said. Among those rescued were a mother and her toddler, who were brought safely to the ground by firefighters.

The mother and child were taken to the hospital for the hospital, along with another occupant. All three are expected to recover.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
