Two FDNY firefighters were injured during a two-alarm residential fire in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
The fire broke out just before 11:30 p.m. at a wood-frame dwelling in the Gerritsen Beach area, the Brooklyn Paper reports. When crews arrived, they encountered heavy flames and smoke the from the second and third floor of the residence and a nearby unit.
Over 125 firefighters used five hoselines to attack the fire. Crews worked for roughly two hours to eventually get control of the flames.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the fire. No details were released concerning their condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
