Los Angeles firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from a one-story home when they arrived just after 12 p.m. Thursday.
As firefighters attacked the flames, crews searched the structure where they found a man inside.
They assisted him from the structure and brought him to awaiting paramedics who evaluated him at the scene.
