A body was discovered in a Passaic building after firefighters brought a stubborn fire under control Wednesday.
Firefighters were called out about 3:30 p.m. to a fire in a one-story restaurant with a home located in the rear of the building, according to NJ.com.
Heavy smoke poured from the building as firefighters battled the fire, which reached three alarms.
The fire was placed under control around 5 p.m.
Crews found a woman's body in the residential area after the fire was out, the newspaper reported.
