Firefighters from across the west Texas region are working to control a wind driven fire in Ranger that has damaged multiple buildings in the downtown area.
Video footage showed a fire burning through the Ranger police station and other historic buildings in the city, including a 100-year-old church, WFAA-TV reported.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames in the small Texas community of approximately 2500 people located 100 miles west of Fort Worth on I-20,
A barbecue pit and high winds are believed to be the source of the large fire. The blaze was not related to the massive Eastland Complex wildfire, which has burned over 40,000 acres
