Multiple departments battle a massive barn fire near Warsaw that leveled the structure.

Multiple fire departments battled a massive blaze that leveled a barn near Warsaw Tuesday morning.

The fire at True Farms on Fishers Road was reported around 10:30 a.m., that created a smoke plume that could be seen miles away, according to The Daily News Online.

When firefighters arrived, the structure was fully involved, crews from multiple departments used handlines and aerial ladders to control the fire.

“The biggest challenge was keeping it from spreading to the house,” Chief James Ferrin of the Warsaw Fire Department told The Daily News Online. “They were pretty close together.”

Firefighters were able to obtain water from a nearby pond to assist with operations. The structure was empty at the time of the fire.
