Car Crashes Into VA Restaurant, Many Injured

Arlington firefighters quickly extinguished the fire caused by the crash.

Several people were injured, four critically, when a vehicle crashed into a building in Arlington Friday night.

Arlington firefighters found heavy fire coming from the restaurant after the 6:45 p,m, wreck.

Of the eight patients transported to area hospitals, four were critical and four sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Arlington Fire & EMS tweeted.

Six others were treated at the scene and were released. 

Ireland's Four Courts pub thanked firefighters and officers for their quick response.  

Fire officials reported that building engineers evaluated the structure and it was structurally sound, but could not be reoccupied.

The investigation is continuing.
