Fire engulfed the vacant three-story St. Louis warehouse that officials said was often used by homeless people for shelter.

St. Louis firefighters spent hours Saturday battling a blaze that ripped through a vacant three-story warehouse.

Fire officials told KSDK.com that homeless people were known to use the building for shelter.

The two-alarm fire took hours to contain and crews worked to keep the blaze from spreading to adjacent structures and from passing through a walkway bridge.
