3 FDNY FFs Injured During Apartment Fire Rescue

Three firefighters were injured as first responders rescued three people from the massive blaze in the Bronx.

Firefighters battled a massive blaze at an apartment building in the Bronx Tuesday night.

The fire started around 9 p.m. on the third floor of a six-story apartment building at 2490 Davidson Avenue in the Fordham Manor section.

The deputy chief on scene told CBS2 firefighters rescued three people, who were then taken to a local hospital.

Three firefighters were also injured.

Two suffered minor injuries, but the condition of the third firefighter was unknown.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
