Watch: Chicago FFs Battle Commercial Fire

Oct. 24, 2022
The Chicago Fire Department was on scene as a massive fire heavily damaged a commercial building in Bronzeville.

Investigators are working to figure out what started a fire that heavily damaged a commercial building near 47th Street and Prairie Avenue in Bronzeville Sunday morning.

ABC 7 Chicago reports that the smoke was so thick, the CTA Green Line trains skipped the 47th Street stop, while firefighters worked to put out the flames.

Buses in the area were also temporarily rerouted.

Steve Redick captured the firefight on video.

No one was hurt.
