CT Firefighters Battle Six-Alarm Fire in Two Buildings

Meriden firefighters found the blaze started in a vacant building and spread to a working factory.

Multiple fire crews worked to extinguish a six-alarm fire that ignited inside a vacant Meriden building Friday night.

Flames quickly spread to an active plating factory, according to Patch reporters. 

Meridian firefighters called for extra departments to help with the operation that lasted several hours.

The cause remains under investigation.
