Apartment Building Blaze Battled in Nation's Capital

D.C. firefighters encountered heavy fire on all floors and the roof just after midnight.

That's what D.C. firefighters encoutered just after midnight Monday. The fire spread to two rowhouses.

Seventeen residents were left without a place to live. But there were no injuries, WUSA9 reported.

Firefighters remained on the scene early Monday to make sure the fire was out.

The investigation is ongoing.
