Watch: Crews Battle Stubborn Mt. Prospect, IL, Apartment Fire

A third alarm was called as firefighters battled the fire in a Mount Prospect apartment building with a mansard roof.

A three-alarm fire ripped through a Mount Prospect apartment building Monday night. 

The fire, in the 1800 block of West Palm Drive, was reported just after 6:30 p.m. 

Fire broke through the roof and the fire burned for several hours, the Arlington Cardinal reported.

The affected building was a three-story structure, according to the Daily Herald, and it had a mansard roof.
