A Connecticut firefighter needed to be airlifted to the hospital after a fall while battling a brush fire Tuesday night.
Multiple departments responded to the brush fire in Stafford, according to the Stafford Fire Department. Rough terrain made the call difficult, and flames burned about 3 to 4 acres before firefighters were able to contain them, WFSB-TV reports.
A firefighter was injured after falling while battling the fire. She was flown to the hospital, but the extent of her injuries was not known.
"Good news is our injured firefighter is doing much better," the fire department stated. "Injuries are not as bad as first thought. Hope her recovery goes quick and she gets back to her caring fire family."
