Thursday, March 24, 2005, the Albany Fire Department responded to a house fire in the Arbor Hill section of the city.
The first arriving company, Ladder 2, found the house full of flames that were blowing out of the first floor window. Lines were stretched off the first engine to protect the exposures and then the fire was attacked.
Prior to the fire departments arrival, the trapped victim jumped from a porch roof and sustained serious injury. The aggressive attack against the fire prevented the exposures from serious damage.
