TUALATIN - A fast-moving fire that started in a kitchen ripped through a mobile home in Tualatin on Oct.10. One occupant suffered from a minor burn and three people are displaced.
A neighbor called 911 at 807 a.m. reporting a fire in a mobile home in the Willow Glenn Mobile Park at 9700 Tualatin Road in Tualatin. Firefighters from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue's Tualatin Station 34 arrived minutes later to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the single wide mobile home. Firefighters noted that both the home and surrounding property was filled with a large amount of items that made entering the burning home extremely dangerous.
After being notified by an occupant that everyone had safely gotten out of the home, firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading to surrounding structures. Firefighters were able to successfully keep the flames from extending to surrounding outbuildings and mobile homes.
Two residents of the home were forced to exit the structure through a bedroom window. One of those residents was treated at the scene for minor burns but was not transported to the hospital.
A team of specially trained fire investigators is conducting interviews and meticulously combing through debris in the home to determine the cause of the fire. At this time investigators have determined that the fire originated in the home's kitchen.

The Red Cross is working to help the 3 occupants find a place to stay tonight. They did not have insurance.
