On Saturday, September 23, 2006, the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department (Wicomico County Station 7) was alerted for an auto accident.

On Saturday, September 23, 2006, the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department (Wicomico County Station 7) was alerted for an auto accident at the intersection of Route 50 West and Sixty Foot Road. Command 7 (C. Smack) arrived and reported finding a two car accident with one on its side and two trapped. The assignment was upgraded bringing Rescue 7 as well as Maryland State Police Trooper 4.

While Engine 707 had a handline ready, the crew of Rescue 7 stabilized the vehicle and removed the roof. Patient care was transferred to Trooper 4's paramedic and the crews of Paramedic A.7 and B.7. Traffic Control 7 secured the operating area and detoured traffic off of Route 50 during the incident.
