Pine Bluff Firefighters were dispatched around 1:30 pm, on Monday, June 26, 2006, to a report of a working structure fire in the city's south central area.
First due E-32 and L-33 from downtown arrived to find a large two- story home well involved. They laid supply line in and started an attack.
Firefighters were forced back due to the deteriorating conditions of the structure. Second due E-36 arrived and laid a supply line in and master streams were set up.
Two other homes at this point were on fire. A second alarm was sounded by BC-31 bringing Station 5 with E-38 and L-34.
The fire was knocked down in 30 minutes.
Other unit's that responded were, C-30, FM-39, S-41, FM-43, and M-50.
The last units cleared the scene at 630 pm.
