On March 26, 2004, at 3:30 PM, Roxbury, New Jersey Fire Companies were dispatched to a working house fire at 56 Toby Dr.
Upon arrival, firefighters met heavy fire from the garage and roof area. Randolph, Flanders, and Budd Lake Fire Companies were dispatched for mutual aid. The fire was brought under control after 2 hours.
The house had extensive damage and the roof collapsed. No one was injured, however the family cat perished. Fire remains under investigation.
