The structure was located on Lotawata Drice, in Curry. We were getting ready to have our Monday night meeting and the pagers go off. The call was a structure fire.
We had 3 Engines and our Rescue truck leaving the station, not to mention those who went POV. We were there for a little over 4 hours I believe. I along with some other firefighters, noticed boats were coming from everywhere just to watch the house burn.
If I had thought about it, I would have taken a pic of the people watching. Needless to say, it was a sight to see.
I was very proud to be on the department last night. Team work is what it's all about and that's what we did last night. We all hated it that someone lost their home last night, but we all feel thankful that no one lost their life. I thank you for reading this, and May God Bless our Firefighters.
