FDNY Responds to 3-Alarm Brush Fire in the Howard Beach Residential Community of Queens

At 5:15 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2004, members of the FDNY and West Hamilton Beach Fire Department responded to a brush fire on 165 Avenue, between 88 and 89 Streets.

The all hands fire quickly went to three alarms and was under control after three hours.
The fire was contained to the marshy area between the bay and 165 Avenue.
