Shortly before 4:30 pm, units from Laurel and surrounding areas were dispatched to 14153 Larchdale Road for the reported apartment fire.
The first arriving engine company found heavy smoke and fire showing, and requested a second alarm shortly thereafter.
Units were held on the scene for several hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Prince George's County Fire investigators.
