On February 2, 2005, the Chesapeake Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire.
On arrival, crews found a heavily involved house, with one victim in the street. She denied injuries, however was greatly concerned about her "baby" (dog). Crews conducted an interior attack, while others conducted a search for her pet. The fire was controlled and her pet was located at the bottom of a large pile of cloths. The dog was treated at the scene, and refused treatment.
