At approximately 11:15 Thursday evening the Lake Worth Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 3200 block of Shawnee Trail in the city. Upon arrival firefighters found this one story brick residence with fire showing. Firemen began to attack this fire and entered the residence to do search and rescue.
Water quickly became an issue before supporting units arrived. However once they were on scene lines were quickly laid and an ample water supply was now available to attack this fire.
Mutual aid units from River Oaks, Sansom Park, Eagle Mountain and, Saginaw also responded to the scene. At one point the electrical service to the house was directly affected by the fire. Everyone was very vocal as it was anticipated that the line would burn into at any moment, which it did. This fire was under control after 30 minutes into the incident. Units were on the scene several hours overhauling the building.
In the photos provided you can see Saginaw's fire photographer, Ryan McDonald at work.
Residents were displaced and Red Cross made the scene. No one was injured. It appears that the home was totally destroyed from the fire
