Early in the morning on August 18, 2004 Cherry Hill Firefighters responded to a reported house fire in an affluent neighborhood with large homes. Several calls from neighbors reporting small explosions (later attributed to aerosol cans exploding) in the neighborhood earned this call a full response. The homeowner, alerted to the fire by the family dog, attempted to call 911 as his phone lines went dead.
