Columbia County 911 dispatched Tri-Village firefighters and Chatham Rescue to a reported structure fire at 1:51 p.m. The fire was located on Haddock Hill Road in the Town of Chatham.
Columbia County Car 3 was one of the first to arrive reporting a working structure fire.
Command then requested tankers from East Chatham, Red Rock, Lebanon Valley and Canaan. East Chatham crews filled tankers at the Old Chatham Pond. Units from Niverville were requested, but quickly canceled.
The fire was knocked down by 2:38 p.m. and crews performed extensive overhaul.
One firefighter passed out from dehydration and was treated at the scene.
About 50 firefighters responded to the scene and units cleared the scene at 7:50 p.m. TheColumbia County Cause and Origin Team is investigating the fire.
