Fully Engulfed House Fire in North Carolina

The family lost everything in the blaze
Jan. 15, 2008

The Beaver Dam Volunteer Fire Department, located in rural western North Carolina, answered a call to a house fire on Jan. 1.

When they arrived the house, which was in a remote area of the county, was already fully engulfed.

Under a mutual aid agreement the department was assisted by the Cove Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Zionville Fire Department.

The family, a couple and their adult son, lost everything in the fire.
