The climber had fallen about 30 feet

Members of the Birdsboro Fire Department (Berks County, PA) work to remove a rock climber who fell approximately 30 ft from a sheer rock face at a quarry owned by the borough's water department.

The call was received shortly after the firefighters finished celebrating their 125th anniversary and housing four trucks.

Firefighters found the climber conscious and alert complaining of back pains and a possible dislocated finger. He was placed in a Stokes basket and transported to Southern Berks Ambulance on ATV 36 (Kulptown FC) and transported him to Reading Hospital.

Also assisting was Geigertown FC (Robeson Township Station 24).
