Structure Burns in Connecticut

After the rescue, the evacuation tone was sounded.

A Mayday was sounded in Norwich, Conn. after a firefighter fell through a floor of a structure fire.

The firefighter was rescued, and walked out of the Cape Vedean Club, a converted house.

A working fire was transmitted, and members started the hunt for the main body of fire. Heavy smoke was venting as truck 1's crew started working, and engine companies stretched lines.

A second-alarm was transmitted and East Great Plan FD responded as Norwich firefighters started the rescue,

After the firefighters exited the building, Car-1 sounded the evacuation tone. Crews set up for a defensive operations.

Other assistance at the scene, American Ambulance, Norwich PD, Norwich public utilities & works and Canteen 1. Conditions at the time of the fire were light snow and icy conditions.
