Firefighters Rescue Injured Construction Worker in Harris County, Texas

On May 24, 2004 at approximately 3:45pm the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department responded to a construction worker injured in a hole in Northwest Harris County, Texas.

On May 24, 2004 at approximately 3:45pm the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department responded to a construction worker injured in a hole in Northwest Harris County, Texas.

A construction road crew was installing concrete sewer pipes, when a large rock rolled into the hole injuring one of the workers legs.

The Cy-Fair Fire Department called in the special operations trailer along with Rescue-5 to set up a stokes basket system to raise the injured worker out of the hole.

A large back hoe already on the scene was used to assist with the rescue.

The construction worker was transported to a local hospital with a fractured leg.
