At 1645 hours on May 1, 2004 Chicopee, Massachusetts firefighters responded for a small roof fire on Emerson Street.
Once on the scene Chicopee Fire Department crews encountered dead-end water main which resulted in low pressure on the Alpha side of the building.
The fire eventually went to a 1 alarm with special call, resulting the response of two engines, two ladders, and the on-duty Deputy Chief.
Mutual Aide was provided by the neighboring communities of Springfield and Holyoke covering at two of Chicopee's five fire stations.
Crews were on scene until the fire was declared under control at 2030 hours.
