Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, Delaware Fire Companies responded to a structure fire at the Tomato Sunshine Garden Center, located on Del.
Rt. 1 north of Rehoboth Beach, Dela. on May 6th at approximately 4:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews found a well involved building with fire through the roof. Firefighters started a defensive attack to prevent the blaze from spreading to another nearby building. No occupants were in the building as the business was closed for the day. The structure was heavily damaged and no injuries were reported.
Bethany Beach and Milton Fire Companies and Sussex County EMS, provided cover-ups during the alarm. The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of fire.
Crews were on scene for over two hours controlling the blaze.
