Just before 10:15 pm on Aug. 26, the Boston Fire Alarm office struck Box 284 for Centre Street and Park Street for a building in the area.
Minutes later Ladder 25 reported a two-story barn fully involved.
Engine 30 stretched a line and knocked down the fire in the front as Car 12 arrived and struck a second alarm.
Companies placed big lines and a blitz gun in service protecting the exposures and quickly knocked down the heavy fire.
Crews remained on scene wetting down hot spots as the Arson Squad worked to determine a cause of the fire. The damage was estimated at $150,000.
