Three technical rescue teams were called out Nov. 2 after a worker needed to be extricated from a West Seaford grain bin.
When Seaford Fire 87 was dispatched to the facility off Owls Nest Road. Deputy Chief 87-16 requested the Sussex County Technical Rescue Team and Perdue Rescue Team for assistance. The Kent County Technical Rescue team was later called to the scene.
Responders worked for three hours to rescue the 67-year-old man, who was at the bottom of the grain bin. He was transported by helicopter to a trauma center.
