The Brooklyn Museum of Art became a temporary danger zone for the New York City Fire Department Tuesday, as the FDNY conducted simulated emergency response drills to check procedure effectiveness.
An explosion, fire and radiological contamination were all arranged and the 15 units being evaluated responded as if the events were really happening.
The FDNY uses the drills to judge communication, response time, and decontamination effectiveness.
