Boston Firefighters Rescue Man Trapped Behind Walls
A man was rescued after he became trapped behind walls at the Back Bay MBTA commuter rail station in Boston, the city fire department said.
Boston fire officials said the man fell between the walls near the commuter rail platform at Back Bay Station on Saturday, WCVB reported.
“Companies had to breech the walls in order to get the person out . A coordinated effort by all agencies,” the fire department wrote on Twitter.
Firefighters hammered a hole into a wall made of concrete blocks in order to get to the man.
The Boston Fire Department tweeted pictures that showed the man being carried away from the scene on a gurney. Authorities did not say how the man became trapped behind the wall.
The man’s condition is unknown.
Crews from the Boston Fire Department, Boston Emergency Medical Services, Massachusetts State Police and MBTA Transit Police Department were involved.
