A Phoenix firefighter put a hiker on his back in a dramatic mountain rescue Tuesday.
The incident involved a man in his 40s who become lost climbing a trail on Lookout Mountain, KPHO-TV reports. He eventually became precariously stranded on a ledge.
Firefighters were able to locate the hiker by pinging his cellphone, and they began working out a way to pull the man to safety. Video footage from a KPHO helicopter captured a firefighter using a rope to descend to the hiker, who then gets on his rescuer's back and is brought to safety.
The hiker was uninjured, according to KPHO.
