A 33-year-old man was standing outside a shuttered store in the Belmont area when the sidewalk underneath him gave way, and he fell around 15 feet below.

A 33-year-old man collapsed into a Bronx sinkhole Saturday when the sidewalk underneath him gave way, police said.

The victim was standing outside a shuttered store on Third Ave. near E. 183rd St. in Belmont around 12:30 p.m. when the sidewalk suddenly opened up.

He fell about 15 feet below, hitting his head, police said.

Firefighters pulled the man out of the hole and took him to St. Barnabas Hospital right across the street, officials said.

He’s expected to recover, authorities said.
