A Central Kentucky fire department safely rescued a worker trapped on a crane Wednesday.

The rescue happened near the Toyota rail yard in Scott County. The Georgetown Fire Department said it carried out a technical rescue operation to bring the worker down from the crane.

The worker, who was not identified, was evaluated by emergency medical services at the scene after being rescued, according to the fire department. The Scott County Fire Department also was involved in the rescue.

“We train regularly for these types of high-risk situations, and today’s response is a reminder of the dedication our firefighters bring to protecting our community—no matter how high the challenge,” the fire department said in a Facebook post.
