Worker Trapped in Trench Rescued in Oxford, MI

A man was reportedly rescued after hours of becoming trapped following a trench collapse Tuesday in Oxford Township.
Around 4:45 p.m., a 50-year-old man became stuck after part of a trench wall gave way at a sewer installation project site in the Brabb Dewey subdivision, west of M-24, according to a WDIV-TV report.
He remained trapped from the waist down until rescue crews freed him around 8:05 p.m., the TV station reported.
After he was freed, the man was transported via helicopter to a trauma center for evaluation, according to WDIV. Authorities told reporters the man was working on a sewer installation project in the subdivision.
The Oxford Fire Department said on Facebook "many departments and specialty teams from throughout Oakland County" responded to the scene.
Authorities in Oxford directed questions to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, which didn't immediately return a message seeking information.
