WESTBOROUGH, MA — Traffic on the Massachusetts Turnpike in both directions was backed up after a truck overturned in the westbound lanes.
The crash occurred about 11:30 a.m.
Firefighters from Westborough and Grafton used extrication tools to free the truck driver. He was transported by Life Flight helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Traffic in the eastbound lanes was back to normal about an hour after the crash. The westbound lanes remained slow as of 1:30 p.m.
