California firefighters rescued an SUV passenger who was trapped in the vehicle following a rollover accident Sunday.
The jaws of life were used by firefighters from the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District to extricate the man from a Lincoln Navigator after a collision in Oakley with a Mercedes sedan, which had been hit by a Mercury Sable, The Press reports. Once he was pulled from the wreckage, the man was airlifted to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the Navigator and the driver of the Mercedes both suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals.
