Los Angeles FFs Rescue Police Officer from Squad Car after Crash

A Los Angeles police officer was extricated from a patrol car following a two-car accident that injured another officer, as well as the driver of the second vehicle.

Los Angeles firefighters rescued a police officer who was trapped inside a patrol car after a two-vehicle collision late Wednesday

The accident happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. at an intersection in South Los Angeles, KCBS-TV reports. Two officers had been in the patrol car at the time of crash, and an officer was still inside the vehicle when crews arrived at the scene. 

Firefighters were able to extricate the trapped officer, who was taken to a local hospital. The other officer and the driver of the second vehicle also were taken to the hospital for their injuries, and all three people are expected to recover.
