A Wayne fire captain fell through the floor of a burning condominium building Monday morning, according to The Record.
Capt. William Englehardt was not injured and would return to fight the fire, authorities told the newspaper.
Five other firefighters were treated at the scene for heat-related injuries and one was transported to a first aid tent on a stretcher.
One resident was rescued from the Brittany Chased Condominium complex on Brittany Drive after the blaze occurred shortly after 11 a.m.
The roof of the building collapsed during the fire and the smoke could be seen miles away.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
