A Clackamas firefighter was listed in stable condition Tuesday night after they were hit by falling sheetrock.
The fire at 16321 Oak Valley Drive in Oregon City was reported just before 3 p.m.
It was placed under control in 45 minutes, according to Brandon Paxton, public information officer for Clackamas Fire District No. 1.
While conducting overhaul, a large section of sheettrock fell about 15 feet from the ceiling and landed on his head.
He was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital for evaluation and treatment, where he was listed in stable condition.
